Go to Calvillos. Much better food, better buffet, cleaner, staff is way more friendly.
Oscar’s food is expensive and tasteless. The restaurant has declined in the past few years.
Oscar's restaurant has been around close to as long as me ! Great Food 👍👌.
Great Mexican food and very authentic
The food was GREAT, and the service was awesome! Thank you!
Worst chili rellenos ever! They use cheddar cheese and the breading it's fried in is hard, tough, thick, crunchy. Not an authentic place... too "Americanized". Our waiter was nice though.
good food good service not noisey what could be better
Superb food. A must to dine at. Family owned and operated.
Great find in Alamosa. Food was excellent. I ordered the Chimichanga plate. The chinos were cooked perfectly and the pinto beans were fresh. It is an older building right on the main street. Staff was very pleasant and efficient. Food arrived fairly quickly. Spoke with owners wife, I believe. She was very nice. Great experience.
Always a very good nails and affection to their work. Employees are very very awesome would eat there as much as I can if I didn't have to cook I would
Oscar’s is short in any kind of fancy but the food is really tasty. You can tell because a lot of locals eat here. The only let down was the margaritas, they were uninspired with a touch of dish wash. I would not repeat that, but once again, the food was good.
Great food and great service
A rule in finding the best places to eat in a town you don't know is to eat where the locals eat. They know which places have great food and the best value. Oscar's is one of those places. I always order a combination because all their food is so great. Their service is top notch. The only reason for just 4 stars is that their over the top buffet is only on weekends.
I grew up eating at Oscar's,i hadn't been back to the valley in allmost 20 yrs. So when i was passing through i HAD to stop by. They remodeled, and changed the building. But the food was just what i remembered. Hands down the best part of my vacation back home
Very rude customer service and horrible food! I decided to give this Mexican restaurant a chance only to be extremely let down the waiter was really rude and made it seem like they did not care about there job at all and the manager was no better! I had to wait for over an hour just for a simple Mexican dish , I had hoped for something that tasted good and authentic but was presented with something that was really cold and seemed like a TV dinner that didn't finish cooking in the microwave! I do not like to make these types of reviews and rarely have to but this type of service was unacceptable and when I had talked to the manager the manager said that "that is just how it comes and how it is supposed to be" the manager did not even say sorry and did not seem a bit concerned in what I had to say . A very unwelcoming feeling and terrible vibe from this place I will never be coming back here again and I would chose taco bell anyday over this restaurant.
We went with family to get the buffet, after ordering our drinks it took them the time we all ate one plate they finally served us our drinks. All food was old and stale and when they would replenish it was after you ate. If you like mediocre service and really bad food this is the place for you.
Great people and very good food.
I always make it a point to stop here for authentic Mexican food when I'm driving through. Very good food and great service! Keep it up!
Very good food. Good service. Hit the spot after an all day tour of Telluride and Silverton. If you like really scary mountain roads, then take Hwy 550 north out of Durango to Silverton and places north. Narrow road with drop offs into the hundreds of feet below. Next time I will take the narrow gauge train from Durango.
The food was really good and the green chili was great. The service was also good.
Very good.
Friendly service amazing food
Excellent food and awesome service.
I will eat there again
Good food and definitely great service!
Surprisingly they have the best cheeseburgers in town. Love their green chili plate. Enormous portions
Subpar Mexican food. The waitress seemed as if she was having a bad day. The only reason we made the trip to Oscar's from Fort Garland was for my grand mother who use to love going there when we she was alive.
Good food and great service
Food was old, nasty, and had no taste. Would not recommend. Place was dirty. Horrible experience.
Not real pleased. Fried chicken was very crunchy and small order of fries. Waiter was very nice .
Super duper yummy food!!! Best sopapilla... Ever! They are like crack - you can't stop eating them.
Food is always good and friendly environment.
Always a great experience and food is yummy. 😬
Always the best...have not had menudo in so long from them! They are the best!!
They serve good food good place to eat
Very yummy, original food. Very nice and patient staff- they were great about accommodating our large group and attentive.
Was passing through the area and was in the mood for some authentic Mexican food and definitely hit the jackpot with stopping here. Enjoyed the buffet they had and was very satisfied with the flavors. You won't be let down!
Great food and service. The buffet is very reasonable for all that it has.
Authentic Mexican cuisine. Should know cousin owns it. She cooks like grandma use to
Good food, good service.
Very good service very good food
Great customer service ad great food!
This is a great place for good Mexican food
Simply the best cheese enchiladas I’ve ever had! My husband had “really good” shredded beef. We ate a lot of Mexican food on a trip from Pueblo to Socorro, New Mexico and back...this was the best!
Food was pretty good. Waitress was friendly and prompt.
Best Sunday Buffet in town.
The food in the buffe is old, still edible, but its obvious that the food is days old. The staff are nice and very attentive. If they had fresh buffe food that wasn't over cooked. I'd give it an extra star. Their food off the menu is great. I'll definitely go back.
we didnt get the buffet although it looked good. I had chicken tacos...I was not expecting a hard shell like taco bell, but ok. my friend had enchiladas which were ok. the table wobbled a lot. they weren't accepting credit cards which is usually not a good sign of financial stability.
Basic food. Restaurant in need of some cleaning and care. Looks like the owners gave up.
This place is gigantic! We had menudo, which my husband liked once he spiced it up a bit, and shrimp fajitas. The fajitas were outstanding with the vegetables and shrimp cooked in a delicate almost sweet sauce. The chips were home made and the guacamole was spicy good! Outstanding service and reasonable prices. The margaritas were also great!
